Actress Sumbul Touqeer defines love beyond romance, emphasizing safety, respect, and understanding. She highlights her father and sister as her lifelong Valentines, valuing their constant, unconditional support.
Actress Sumbul Touqeer, known for her roles in Imlie, Kavya - Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon and currently seen in Itni Si Khushi, believes love goes far beyond romance and grand gestures. “For me, love is not only about romance,” Sumbul says.
“Love is about feeling safe, respected, and understood. It’s about having someone who stands by you in every situation—not just in happy moments but also in difficult ones.
” For the actress, love begins at home. “My father and my sister are my biggest support system. They are my Valentine for life,” she shares. “Their love is constant, pure, and unconditional. No matter what happens in my life, I know they are always there for me.” She believes the most meaningful love is often quiet and simple. “Love is not always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it’s in small gestures, in everyday conversations, in the way someone checks on you without any reason. That’s the kind of love I value the most.” Growing up around strong family bonds shaped her understanding of relationships. “For me, love is about loyalty, honesty, and emotional comfort. If you can be yourself around someone without fear, that is real love,” she says.
Speaking about Valentine’s Day, Sumbul adds, “I don’t think love should be limited to one day. Spending time with my father and sister, sharing a meal or simply talking—that means more to me than any fancy Valentine’s plan.” She concludes, “When you’re surrounded by people who truly care, you feel stronger and more confident. At the end of the day, the ones who stay with you through everything are your real Valentines.”
