Actress Swasika is making headlines with her candid remarks on tradition and personal choice. In a recent video shared by Global Malayalam on YouTube, the actress opened up about her love for wearing sindoor and thaali, saying it is something she personally cherishes.“I really like applying sindoor, and that is one of the reasons I got married. Sindoor and thaali are entirely my personal choices. I don’t mind being called a kulasthree. In fact, I like hearing that. Just because people criticize, I will not abandon my choices,” she clarified.

Swasika's childhood fascination

Swasika further revealed that her affinity for these traditions wasn’t something new but rather a fascination she carried since her teenage years.

“When we are young, we develop certain fascinations without even realizing how they come to us. From my teenage years, I have loved the idea of marriage, family, children, and yes, even the tradition of touching the husband’s feet – which you all keep trolling me for. But just because people troll me, I will never change my likes,” she shared.

For her, sindoor is not just symbolic but also a part of her daily routine. “Even when I’m at home, I like waking up in the morning and putting on sindoor.

These are all my personal preferences. I do it the way I like,” she explained. For Swasika, however, the message remains simple, and it is, “I love myself, and just as much, I love my culture too.”
