T.N. election 2026: Vijay condemns alleged assault on women near Pollachi over political sticker row

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C. Joseph Vijay, on Monday (April 13, 2026), condemned an alleged assault on two women near Pollachi in Coimbatore district, after they objected to a political party sticker being pasted on their house wall without permission.

In a post on social media, Mr. Vijay referred to a video which purportedly shows a group pasted a party sticker on a woman’s house wall without her consent. When her sister, who was carrying an infant, objected, the group allegedly attacked her and others in the house, besides using abusive language.
