Tamil Nadu’s 2026 Assembly polls set up a high-stakes contest between DMK, AIADMK and TVK.

Exit Poll Tamil Nadu 2026 Live Updates: Tamil Nadu recorded a historic voter turnout of over 84% in the 2026 Assembly elections, the highest since Independence. Polling for all 234 seats was held in a single phase on April 23, with strong participation seen across both urban and rural regions.

With voting now complete, attention has shifted to exit polls, which will be released by media outlets after 6 pm.

Early post-poll surveys had suggested a closely fought triangular contest in the state. Most agencies, including CVoter and Vakkucheck, give a slight edge to the bloc led by MK Stalin, projecting around 138–142 seats and a win probability of about 62 per cent. However, the AIADMK-led front is showing gains in northern and Kongu regions.

At the same time, actor Vijay’s TVK is expected to secure a 5 to 8% vote share, especially among first-time voters. While these early trends offer some indication, the final outcome will only be clear when votes are counted on May 4.
