A man attacked family court's Judge with a machete at Srivilliputhur Family Court in Virudhunagar after a marital dispute verdict. The judge escaped unharmed.

A dramatic incident unfolded at the Srivilliputhur Family Court in Virudhunagar district on Monday, 16 February, when a man allegedly attacked a judge with a machete following dissatisfaction with a verdict in a family dispute case.

The accused, Balamurugan from Sengulam, was entangled in a marital dispute with his wife Thangamuneeswari. Due to the absence of a permanent judge at the Family Court, the case was being overseen by Sudhakar, a judge from the PCR court, who delivered the contentious verdict.

Enraged by the ruling, Balamurugan reportedly threw a machete at Judge Sudhakar. Fortunately, the weapon missed its target, and the judge escaped unscathed.
