Teen and sibling thrashed after spat on train in Navi Mumbai

NAVI MUMBAI: A day after the Borivli train murder incident following a violent altercation between two commuters that took place on June 23, yet another incident of verbal spat between a 16-year-old teenage boy and a 20-year-old youth took place in a harbour line train in Navi Mumbai on June 24 night, after the youth accidentally stamped on the teen's foot.The altercation later spilled on to the street, when the youth accompanied by his two friends waylaid the teen near Seawoods Grand Central Mall around 9. 30pm and assaulted him with kicks and fist blows.As the teen's elder brother intervened to rescue him, the trio assaulted him as well in which he sustained a hand fracture.The injured brothers were identified as Rony Rana Shaikh (22) and Alkas Rana Shaikh (16).While, the accused youth was identified as Rohit Surendra Bhosale (22), all residing in Tata Nagar slum pocket, sector 10, CBD-Belapur near Konkan Bhawan. Accused Rohit Bhosale and his two unidentified aides were booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections for voluntarily causing grievous hurt and joint criminal liability.
