Teen dies after car rams cycle on NH-730 in Pilibhit

Pilibhit: A 14-year-old boy died after a car hit his cycle near Kainch village on the Pilibhit-Basti highway (NH-730) under Gajraula police station limits on Thursday.Mohit Kumar was cycling to a canal for a bath when the car, allegedly trying to overtake another vehicle, hit his cycle. Locals alerted police, who rushed him to the district hospital, where he died during treatment.SHO Brajveer Singh said the driver fled after the accident. “Efforts are on to trace the driver. An FIR will be registered after a complaint is received,” he said.
