Hyderabad: In view of heavy rush in sub-registrar offices (SROs), the Telangana govt has extended the timings of SRO offices on Wednesday till June 3. Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said from May 29 to June 3, the SRO offices would function from morning 9.30 am to 7.30 pm.
The registrations increased in the state as the state govt is planning to revise the market values of the lands for property registrations soon. The minister instructed officials to ensure that people coming for registration do not have to wait for hours and that all arrangements are made to avoid any inconvenience.“The government’s aim is to serve the public... Speed, transparency, and convenience are the three main goals in the registration process,” the minister said.
Considering public needs, the minister directed officials to increase the number of slot bookings. He revealed that the govt is ready to extend working hours and days if necessary, in light of registration demand.The minister also stressed the need to coordinate with tehsildar offices where agricultural land registrations occur, ensuring services are provided without delay. Srinivas Reddy issued special instructions to Registrations department IG Rajeev Gandhi Hanumantu to ensure there are no obstacles in providing fast, transparent, and convenient services to the public.
