The Telangana Government has prepared draft amendments to the Fire Services Act, 1999 aimed at strengthening fire prevention and safety measures, streamlining Fire NOC (No Objection Certificate) procedures, and enhancing regulation, enforcement and accountability.

Officials said the proposed changes are intended to address current requirements, emerging risks and advancements in fire safety technologies, with a focus on improving public safety.
