Director General (DG) of Prisons and Correctional Services, Soumya Mishra, and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Prisons, M. Sampath, have been awarded with the Director General’s Commendation Disc and Certificate by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs, for their role in successfully organising the 7th All India Prison Duty Meet 2025.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated the department for organising the event and the Telangana team for securing the overall championship.
DG Mishra received the Director General’s Commendation Disc (Silver, First Disc) and a commendation certificate for her leadership in conducting the event in collaboration with the BPR&D. DIG Sampath was awarded the Director General’s Commendation Disc (Golden with One Blue Star, Third Disc) and a commendation certificate for planning, coordinating and conducting the meet.
The BPR&D also presented Director General’s Commendation Certificates to Inspector General of Prisons N. Murali Babu, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons D. Srinivas, Superintendents of Jails Santosh Kumar Roy, N. Shiva Kumar Goud and T. Kala Sagar, Deputy Superintendents of Jails D. Bharath, S. Srinivas Reddy, P. Ashok Kumar, Y. Ramiah and K. Sreerama Reddy, as well as APCA, Vellore professors T.H. Ansar and A. Mathan Raj for their contribution to the event.
The 7th All India Prison Duty Meet 2025 was hosted by the Telangana Prisons and Correctional Services Department at the RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy in Hyderabad.
