The preview of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's directorial debut was finally launched on Wednesday amidst much anticipation. While one had heard that the show is about

Bollywood

and its darker side, the preview further has made people curious. It begins with Shah Rukh Khan's voice over telling us more about the city of dreams and this world of Bollywood which perhaps is not for everyone. We’re then introduced to Lakshya as Aasman Singh, an ambitious actor determined to be more than just another star on the screen.By his side is Raghav Juyal, playing his loyal friend and cheerleader, who’s eager to toast the success of his blockbuster Revolver. Bobby Deol makes a powerful appearance as Ajay Talvar, hailed as the country’s biggest superstar. Adding a surprising twist, Karan Johar pops up in a short but fiery cameo, unleashing a sharp expletive at someone. While every cast member seems impressive and the series promises a lot more, the teaser grabs eyeballs further through cameos from Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh. The teaser builds to a provocative finale, Aasman being told that true fame sometimes arrives only after a stint in jail. Just before it cuts to black, audiences are treated to blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameos from Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh further adding to the intrigue. One has only heard Shah Rukh's voice in the preview, but fans would surely be excited to see him in the series in a cameo, being directed by his son.

Joining them is a powerhouse ensemble featuring Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor. The series is all set to premiere on Netflix on September 18.

At the launch event of the series in the city, SRK requested everyone to give love to Aryan and keep him in their prayers and got emotional as a father.
