In the video, French President Emmanuel Macron was seen sitting next to US President Trump as he signed the peace deal.

United States President Donald Trump and his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, on Thursday signed a peace deal aimed at ending the months-long US-Iran war in the Middle East.

Trump signed the memorandum of understanding during dinner at the Palace of Versailles with French President Emmanuel Macron after attending the G7 summit.

Moments before signing the MoU, Trump – with a pen in his hand – told the leaders around him, “This was not easy – that I can tell you".

The US president then signed the agreement and held it up for everyone to see. In the video, Trump was seen sitting next to Macron while US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was standing behind him. As he signed the MoU, all the guests applauded.

While walking out of the palace, Trump said to the reporters, “Just signed it".

The Iranian Embassy in India also shared pictures of Pezeshkian with the signed peace deal.
