Three from Chikkodi die in road accident in Andhra Pradesh

Three friends from Chikkodi in Belagavi district died in a road accident in Markapuram in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

Twentyeight-year-old Ajit Satwar, 40-year-old Gaurav and 60-year-old Alka Shindhe died when their van hit a lorry.

As many as 14 people were in the van. They were returning after visiting the Sri Mallikarjun Swami Temple in Srisailam.

Three passengers were injured in the road accident.

A case has been registered in the Markapuram Police Station.

The bodies will be brought to Belagavi after legal formalities are completed, Belagavi Police said.
