Three youths drown in Narmada in Dewas

Times News NetworkIndore: Three youths drowned in the Narmada river in Dewas district on Thursday afternoon after they ventured into a deep-water stretch with a friend while bathing near Rajaur area.Local boatmen managed to rescue one of them, but three were pulled out of water dead.According to police, the incident took place around 2.30 pm when the four friends entered the river for a swim but accidentally moved towards a deeper stretch of water. Locals said that the water level at the spot was nearly 15 feet deep, making rescue efforts difficult. By the time the youths were pulled out, three of them had died.The deceased were identified as Sunny and Golu both, residents of Khategaon, and Ayush, a resident of Kana village who was currently staying in Khategaon. All three were aged between 17 and 20 years. Vivek, a resident of Khategaon, was rescued.
