The movement of the tiger which is on the prowl around Nelakota and Pudipalli villages in Alluri Sitharama Raju district has been restricted to the nearby hill terrain, away from the human habitations, according to a social media post by the officers taking care of the Forest Department’s H.A.N.U.M.A.N. (Healing and Nurturing Units for Monitoring, Aid and Nursing of Wildlife) Project.
It was stated that H.A.N.U.M.A.N special teams have been vigilant for several days and deflected the wild cat away with the help of drone surveillance, ground teams, wildlife experts and veterinary specialists as per the directions Deputy CM and Minister for Environment & Forests K. Pawan Kalyan.
The operation would continue with a clear priority to ensure public safety while securing the safe capture of the tiger, and the residents have been urged to remain calm, stay alert, and follow the Forest Department advisories.
