Time-Shift feature for FAST TV launched

RunnTV has launched a new time-shift feature for FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) channels. The feature has already been rolled out on select channels on the platform, with more expected to adopt it in the coming months.

Commenting on the launch, founder and CEO Manish Sinha said: “FAST television has seen tremendous global growth, but the viewing experience has remained largely linear — if you miss a show, you miss it. With our Time-Shift feature, we are bringing the flexibility of on-demand streaming to live FAST channels. Viewers can now rewind and catch up on recently streamed programs, they want to, on FAST channels.”The company plans to make the Time-Shift capability available to the broader industry through PlayStudio. Streaming platforms, broadcasters and channel operators can integrate the functionality into their own apps and FAST environments, enabling them to offer enhanced viewing flexibility to their audiences.
