Touching Light explores 200 years of photography

Kolkata Centre for Creativity, is presenting Touching Light, an exhibition celebrating 200 years of photography while reflecting on the cultural and material history of analogue image-making.The exhibition brings together rare nineteenth-century photographic works alongside contemporary analogue practices, tracing the evolution of photography across generations. Featuring early formats such as Carte de Visite by Bourne & Shepherd, albumen prints, and historically significant works like Beauties of Lucknow by Darogha Abbas Ali, the show explores photography as both an artistic process and an archival medium.
