Traffic curbs for Chatrapathi Shivaji Jayanthi processions

The Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced diversions in parts of old city on Thursday in view of Chatrapathi Shivaji Jayanthi celebrations and a procession scheduled from Puranapul Darwaza to Shivaji statue at Imlibun at 11.30 a.m., followed by a public meeting.

Diversions will be in place between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. around Madina, S J Rotary and Afzalgunj. RTC buses from Shamshabad and Attapur towards Puranapul will be diverted at Aramghar towards Chandrayangutta. Vehicles from Aramghar towards Puranapul will be diverted at Bahadurpura crossroads towards Kishan Bagh and Kamatipura.

Traffic from Madina towards Bahadurpura will be diverted at Goodwill Café via Parthiwada to Bahadurpura crossroads. Vehicles from City College towards Puranapul will be diverted at City College towards MJ Bridge. Traffic from Jiyaguda and Karwan via 100 Feet Road towards Puranapul will be diverted at Puranapul crossroads towards Jummerath Bazaar and MJ Bridge.

Vehicles and RTC buses from S J Rotary towards Shivaji Bridge will be diverted towards Madina, City College and MJ Bridge. Traffic from CBS towards Shivaji Junction will be diverted at Old RTC Depot Road towards Rangamahal when the procession nears the junction. Vehicles from Afzalgunj and Central Library towards Shivaji Junction will be diverted at Afzalgunj T junction towards S A Bazar Mosque.

Traffic from MJ Market towards Afzalgunj will be diverted via Malakunta, Alaska, Chatri and MJ Bridge when the procession crosses S A Bazar Mosque. Vehicles from Afzalgunj towards MJ Market will be diverted at Afzalgunj T junction towards Central Library.

A separate procession will be held from Moti Nagar to Borabanda Bus Stop between 5.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m., passing through Moti Nagar crossroads, Snehapuri Colony and Vijetha Theatre. Congestion is expected at Moti Nagar crossroads and Borabanda Bus Stop during the evening hours.
