Tribal Handicrafts, Food and Herbal Fair Inaugurated at Sabarmati Riverfront

Ahmedabad: The ‘Traditional Tribal Handicrafts, Food, Herbal Medicines Sale and Exhibition Fair’ was inaugurated by the Tribal Development Minister Nareshbhai Patel at Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad. This sale and exhibition fair, organized by the Gujarat Tribal Research and Training Society, operating under the Tribal Department, will be held till February 3.

Free stalls have been allotted to all tribal brothers and sisters in this fair. Here, famous tribal dance teams will present various tribal dances every night and a total of 75 stalls and 112 artisans-Vaidu Bhagats are present. The Minister visited the stalls of tribal artisans and Vaidu Bhagats and encouraged them.

On the occasion of the inauguration of this fair, Tribal Development Minister Nareshbhai Patel said that we produce natural, natural agricultural or other goods, but we have not been able to brand them. For which we have to build trust, quality and confidence in these goods, so that we can make a good brand of our goods. Thus, branding and modern approach are very important for the protection of tribal culture, handicrafts and herbal medicines.

The Minister added that today many diseases have increased in the society due to fast food. There is a great need for food containing natural products to prevent these diseases. Since there will be a great need for natural goods in the coming times, it is very important to preserve these natural and traditional goods.

Minister Patel said that the country’s successful Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has been constantly thinking and striving for the special protection and promotion of tribal culture, tradition, handicrafts, costumes, language, dance, food, forest medicines, ideas, spirituality, etc. For which he has implemented many important schemes for the upliftment of the tribal society.

“I am proud that I am a Hindu, I am proud that I am an Indian and even more so I am proud that I am a tribal,” the Minister said, adding that the tribal community has instilled natural and grassroots values in me.

Describing his professional experiences, he said that he started his professional career with a small firecracker business. Today he has become an excellent businessman by doing different businesses. Venture, patience and honesty are very important in business. If there is a loss in business, it is necessary not to be afraid, but to think.
