A month after firing Pam Bondi as the Attorney General, US President Donald Trump has appointed her to an advisory committee focused on artificial intelligence policy, according to an Axios report. Bondi will now serve on the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, known as PCAST.

What we know about the AI panel?

The advisory panel is chaired by former White House AI adviser David Sacks and White House science adviser Michael Kratsios. The committee also includes several major technology leaders, including Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg and Larry Ellison. According to reports, Bondi’s role will involve helping coordinate between the US government and the technology executives serving on the panel.

JD Vance praises Bondi

US Vice President JD Vance praised Bondi following the announcement. “Pam has been an enormously valuable asset to the president’s team, and I’m thrilled for her and for all of us that she’s going to remain involved in confronting some of the most important issues the administration faces," Vance said in a statement. Apart from the AI advisory role, Bondi will also serve in a newly created advisory position linked to national infrastructure.
