US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were reportedly on the verge of making a decision on Iran during a “prolonged and dramatic" phone call on Tuesday (local time).

The development was first reported by Israel’s Channel 12 News (Keshet 12), marking the second known conversation between the two leaders in three days.

Israeli media had earlier reported that Trump and Netanyahu spoke on Sunday evening as well, with discussions focusing on Trump’s recent visit to China, where he met Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“On the verge of a decision: Trump and Netanyahu held a phone call tonight that was defined as ‘prolonged and dramatic’," Channel 12 said in its report.

The report, however, did not specify the nature of the decision being discussed regarding Iran.
