US President Donald Trump has once again pushed the deadline of a full-blown attack on Iran, and this time, Washington has given Tehran a window of two weeks.

The latest deadline given by Washington to Tehran will end on April 22 and first was given on March 21. The marks fourth such time when US President has suspended a full-scale military operation against Iran

The first ultimatum was for five days, but he extended it by 10 more days late last month. The latter deadline was then supposed to expire on Monday before Trump’s latest delay. Thus, Trump’s original 48-hour ultimatum has stretched to 408 hours so far.

TRUMP’S DEADLINE EXTENSION GAME

Trump first issued a stark 48-hour ultimatum to Iran on March 21, but the deadline quickly shifted. By March 23, the timeline had already been extended by five days. Just a few days later, on March 26, it was pushed again—this time by 10 more days, moving the target to early April. As tensions continued, the deadline was repeatedly adjusted through late March and early April, with shorter extensions of a few days at a time. Around April 4–5, the timeline was reset yet again, only to be pushed forward by another day on April 7. Instead of immediate action, Trump then added a further two-week window, stretching a 48-hour warning to 408-hour warning again.
