US President Donald Trump and Iranian officials confirmed that a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the West Asia conflict has been signed, marking a major diplomatic breakthrough after more than three months of war.

Speaking to reporters as he departed the Palace of Versailles following the G7 summit in France, Trump said the agreement had been formally signed.

“It’s signed," Trump said, adding, “Signed it in Versailles, I just signed it."
