Four persons including a six-year-old boy were injured after a stray dog bit them at MGR Nagar in Chennai on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) night.

Police said the residents in Nagathamman Koil Street of Sanjay Gandhi Colony have been complaining about stray dog menace in the locality in recent times. On Tuesday night, four persons including residents of the locality and those passing through the street, were bitten by a stray dog.
The victims were identified as K. Panneerselvam who works as a painter and a resident of the street, along with three residents of Choolaipallam including P. Pradeep (25), B. Bhuvanesh (13), and S. Hariharan (6).

While three persons who were admitted to the K.K. Nagar Government Hospital were later referred to the Royapettah Government Hospital for treatment, the six-year-old boy Hariharan is undergoing treatment at the Egmore Children’s Hospital.
The MGR Nagar police have filed a case and are investigating.
