An inter-district burglar, identified as 22-year-old Teku Chiranjeevi, allegedly involved in seven theft cases including six under the limits of Karimnagar Police Commissionerate and one in Nizamabad district was arrested by the Karimnagar police on Monday.
The police also arrested another person identified as Bangaru Narasayya, 44, for allegedly buying the stolen gold and silver ornaments from the accused.
The arrested duo hail from Nizamabad district, police said.
Police recovered stolen property including 18 tola gold ornaments and 164 tola silver ornaments besides Rs 1 lakh in cash, a mobile phone and a car from the accused.
Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam praised the joint team of police personnel and the Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths for their coordinated efforts in nabbing the inter-state burglar.
