Two injured after car crashes into pickup in Mandsaur

Indore: Two youths were injured after the car they were travelling in crashed into the rear of a pickup truck near the Circuit House in Mandsaur on Tuesday night. The impact left the hatchback badly damaged, while both occupants suffered multiple injuries and were rushed to the district hospital.The accident occurred when the hatchback was returning from Nayakheda. The pickup vehicle allegedly applied the brakes suddenly, following which the car rammed into it from behind. After receiving information about the accident, the Dial-112 emergency response team reached the spot and shifted the injured to the district hospital.The car occupant, 25-year-old Sanjay Sahu, a resident of Ujjain, came to Mandsaur to meet Om Soni in Abhinandan Nagar. The two went out for tea. The accident occurred while they were on their way back. Sanjay sustained serious injuries to his face, head, hands and legs, with doctors saying he required around 20 stitches on his face. Om suffered injuries to his face and hand. Both are undergoing treatment at the district hospital.Police are gathering details about the incident and investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
