Two more members of an inter-state gang who carried out a daylight dacoity at a jewellery store at Chandanagar on Hyderabad outskirts earlier this week were arrested by the Cyberabad Police, taking the total number of arrests to four.

The accused, identified as Anish Kumar Singh and Prince Kumar Rajak, both natives of Bihar, were apprehended in Pimpri, Chakan, Pune.

According to the police, a firearm and stolen gold-coloured silver ornaments weighing about 1,015 grams were recovered from their possession. On August 12, six masked men stormed Khazana Jewellers in Chandanagar and opened fire at the deputy manager of the store Satish Kumar, injuring his left knee. The gang looted about 10 kilograms of silver articles, including gold-coated ornaments, before fleeing the spot. The injured staff member was taken to hospital for treatment, while police registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.

Police said that efforts are continuing to trace the remaining accused and recover the rest of the stolen property.
