Two more labourers held in Gupta murder case

Prayagraj: Pratapgarh police on Monday arrested two men identified as Monu (25) and Suraj Banbasi (26), residents of Jaitipur Kathar village who were involved in Ram Milan Gupta murder case.Cops have also seized two bamboo sticks from their possession. Police said that prime accused in Gupta murder case identified as Ramraj (42) of Antoo was arrested on Sunday.Police said a group of four labourers including Monu, Suraj, Ramraj and Raju had allegedly beaten Ram Milan Gupta to death on Saturday night following monetary dispute. Police claimed that these four men were working as labourers at under-construction house of Gupta and had a dispute over payment. The arrested labourers told police that they had been asking for their wages from the owner of the under-construction house for several days but he used to threat them of dire consequences.

On Saturday evening they had a squabble with owner over payment and allegedly attacked him with a cricket bat and bamboo sticks.
