Two terrorists killed by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Gurez sector

Two terrorists were killed during an infiltration bid in north Kashmir’s Bandipora on Thursday (August 28, 2025), the Army said.

“Alert troops spotted suspicious activity (in Gurez Sector) and challenged, which resulted in terrorists opening indiscriminate fire. Troops responded with effective fire, neutralising two terrorists,” an Army spokesman said.

The Army said the operation Naushera Nar in Gurez is still in progress.

The operation was launched after intelligence was provided by the J&K Police regarding likely infiltration attempt in the Gurez Sector, the Army said.
