Uddhav announces ‘Ram Raksha Andolan’ in Mumbai against alleged temple theft

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray said the money stolen from Ram temple is being used to split parties

Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday announced the launch of his ‘Ram Raksha Andolan’ on Sunday evening against the Ram Temple embezzlement row which involves the alleged misappropriation of millions in cash and valuables offered by devotees at the Ayodhya temple.Uddhav said the money stolen from Ram temple is being used to split parties. Uddhav appealed to all Hindus to gather in front of the Hanuman temple at Dadar’s Kabutarkhana. Taking a dig at the BJP, Uddhav referred to late Atal Bihar Vajpayee’s statement. “Once

Atal Bihari Vajpayee

had said, ‘Now Hindus will not be killed.’ So I am saying that now the time has come to say that Hindus will not forgive. Those who are looting temples will not be left without being shown their place by Hindus,” said Uddhav.

Uddhav said political robbery is going on, MLAs and MPs are being stolen, it is being called an operation, so now the issue is whether “BJP is doing Operation Ram Temple too”.Further criticizing the BJP, Uddhav said, “Before this movement for Ram temple started, BJP had only two MPs in the entire country. Gandhian socialism was the programme they adopted. They abandoned that programme and turned to Hindutva and took up the work of Ram temple and today, capitalizing on this, they are enjoying unlimited power in the country.

It is unfortunate that in this BJP era, the issue of Ram temple is being discussed for a different reason.

These news may or may not be shown, but theft is happening. The Ram temple has been robbed, evidence has also been given about it. It is being said that the money from that theft is being used to split parties, this is very serious.”“There is chaos and apathy in the entire country. No one is responsible for anyone. It is time to strike at the root of this.

The entire country is under the rule of BJP today. Ram temple is the root of BJP’s power. Many Shiv Sainiks were involved in the movement for Ram temple. All Hindus in the country were involved. Hindus had to endure a lot in the atrocities on Kar Sevaks, the riots in Godhra, the riots in Ahmedabad, the bomb blasts in Mumbai,” said Uddhav.“All those Hindus, regardless of party -- who are not tolerating the theft happening in Ram’s temple, who want to ask for an answer, will come there on Sunday. I will go there myself. Shiv Sena leaders, public representatives will be with me. Shiv Sainiks, all Ram devotees will come there. Those who have not given up Hindutva, have not given up the thoughts of Balasaheb, if they are Hindus, they should come here. We are holding a Ram Raksha Andolan there,” he said.
