Paris Saint-Germain secured their fifth trophy of 2025 by defeating Tottenham 4-3 in a penalty shootout at the UEFA Super Cup in Udine, Italy on Wednesday. PSG mounted a remarkable comeback, scoring two late goals to force penalties before clinching victory in the annual match between Champions League and Europa League winners. The match seemed to be going Tottenham's way when they established a 2-0 lead early in the second half through goals from their defenders. Micky van de Ven opened the scoring in the 39th minute, capitalizing after PSG's new goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier tipped Joao Palhinha's shot onto the crossbar.
