US-Israel Iran War Ceasefire News Today Latest Updates Live: Tensions across the Middle East remain high as diplomatic efforts surrounding Iran’s nuclear negotiations continue alongside growing military and political uncertainty in the region. US Vice President JD Vance said progress appears to be emerging in negotiations with Iran, despite sharp disagreements over Tehran’s latest proposal.

His comments came shortly after US President Donald Trump reportedly dismissed Iran’s most recent offer as “unacceptable”, signalling that major differences still remain between the two sides.

The negotiations are being closely watched internationally, particularly as concerns continue over the possibility of renewed military escalation in the region. Iranian military officials have maintained a defiant tone in public statements. Brigadier-General Mohammad Akrami Nia said Iran’s armed forces remain at “the highest level of readiness”, adding that “there is no room for retreat” while the ceasefire with the United States remains uncertain.

The developments come amid increasing scrutiny of regional alliances and backchannel diplomacy. Reports emerged claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a secret visit to the United Arab Emirates during the conflict with Iran and held talks with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

However, the UAE’s Foreign Ministry strongly denied the reports, stating that its relationship with Israel “is not based on secrecy or clandestine arrangements”. The response appeared aimed at countering speculation over covert regional coordination during the conflict.

Meanwhile, President Trump has arrived in Beijing for a high-stakes meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two-day visit is expected to focus heavily on the ongoing tensions involving Iran, as well as broader security concerns linked to the US-Israel conflict and regional stability.

In neighboring Lebanon, violence has continued despite an existing ceasefire agreement. At least 15 people, including children, were killed in a series of Israeli air strikes, according to local reports.
