US-Iran War LIVE Updates: US President Donald Trump on Sunday (local time) announced a major diplomatic breakthrough to end the 100-day conflict in West Asia, declaring that the United States and Iran have reached an agreement and an “immediate and permanent” end to military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.

“The deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

At least five Iranian vessels have transited the Strait of Hormuz after the United States announced the removal of its naval blockade under the agreement reached with Tehran, according to Iranian media reports. Iran’s Press TV reported that three oil tankers and two cargo ships passed through the strategic waterway following the announcement.

However, Israel has fiercely pushed back against the agreement, declaring that any deal brokered by the US would not be binding on Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasised that Israel would continue to safeguard its own security interests and prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons regardless of diplomatic developments.

“I am not sure of the details of the agreement between Washington and Tehran,” Netanyahu said, adding, “The agreement with Iran was concluded by Trump, and this is his decision, and we have our own interests.”
