The Northeastern Railways has diverted several trains and rescheduled two others due to doubling work in Bihar. The Gorakhpur-Patliputra Vande Bharat is among the affected services

Indian Railways News: The North Eastern Railway (NER) has announced diversions, short-origination and rescheduling of 12 train services on July 2 and 3 owing to non-interlocking work being carried out for track doubling between Bettiah and Majhauliya stations under the Samastipur Division of East Central Railway.

According to Sumit Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, the operational changes are being implemented to facilitate the ongoing infrastructure upgrade on the section, as reported by Jagran.

Bapudham Motihari-Anand Vihar Express To Short-Originate

The 14009 Bapudham Motihari-Anand Vihar Terminal Express, scheduled to depart on July 2, will originate from Narkatiaganj instead of Bapudham Motihari.

Trains Diverted On July 2

The following trains will run on diverted routes on July 2:

• 15052 Gorakhpur-Kolkata Express: Via Narkatiaganj–Sikta–Raxaul–Sitamarhi–Muzaffarpur.
• 15705 Katihar-Delhi Express: Via Muzaffarpur–Sitamarhi–Raxaul–Sikta–Narkatiaganj.
• 04623 Kolkata-Amritsar Special: Via Muzaffarpur–Hajipur–Chhapra–Gorakhpur.
• 15211 Darbhanga-Amritsar Express: Via Darbhanga–Sitamarhi–Raxaul–Narkatiaganj.
• 12558 Anand Vihar Terminal-Muzaffarpur Express: Via Narkatiaganj–Sikta–Raxaul–Sitamarhi–Muzaffarpur.

Trains Diverted On July 3

The following services will be diverted on July 3:

• 26502 Gorakhpur-Patliputra Vande Bharat Express: Via Narkatiaganj–Sikta–Raxaul–Sagauli.
• 15567 Bapudham Motihari-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express: Via Sagauli–Raxaul–Sikta–Narkatiaganj.
• 15273 Raxaul-Anand Vihar Terminal Express: Via Raxaul–Sikta–Narkatiaganj.
• 19038 Barauni-Bandra Terminus Express: Via Muzaffarpur–Sitamarhi–Raxaul–Sikta–Narkatiaganj.

Two Trains Rescheduled

Passengers travelling on the following trains should note revised departure timings on July 3:

• 12211 Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Express will depart two hours later from Muzaffarpur.
• 12557 Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Express will depart three hours later from Muzaffarpur.

The railway has advised passengers to verify the latest train timings and routes before commencing their journey, as the changes are being implemented to facilitate essential track doubling work and improve rail infrastructure.
