Vice-President concludes two-day visit to Kochi

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar returned to Delhi on Monday (July 7) after completing a two-day visit to Kochi.

He left along with his wife Sudesh Dhankhar by a special aircraft of the Air Force from the Kochi airport around 3 p.m. They were accompanied by family members Abha Vajpayee and Karthik Vajpayee.

A delegation led by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar gave him a send-off. Industries Minister P. Rajeeve, Abdul Wahab, MP, Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak, State Police Chief Ravada A. Chandrasekhar, District Collector N.S.K. Umesh, District Police Chief (Ernakulam Rural) M. Hemalatha, Kochi airport managing director S. Suhas, and State Protocol Officer M.S. Harikrishnan were also present.

Earlier in the morning, Mr. Dhankhar’s visit to Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple had to be called off after his helicopter had to return to Kochi due to inclement weather. Later, he left for Guruvayur by the Air Force helicopter around 12.40 p.m. after his interaction with the students of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies.

He left for Delhi on his return from Guruvayur. Mr. Dhankhar and his family arrived in Kochi on Sunday (July 6).
