Following the Hanuman temple tragedy in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district on Saturday, disturbing visuals have emerged from the collapse site. The video captures the terrifying moments when a section of an under-construction assembly hall at the temple suddenly collapsed.

The footage shows devotees gathered inside the temple complex, many standing beneath the partially built structure supported by scaffolding. Within seconds, a large portion of the roof gives way and comes crashing down on people standing below, triggering panic and chaos at the site.

As dust engulfs the area, devotees can be seen running in different directions in a desperate attempt to escape and find shelter. Several people standing directly beneath the scaffolding appear to be trapped under the debris as screams and commotion fill the temple premises.

Panic Erupts After Roof Collapse Incident

The incident occurred at around 3 pm in Yashwadi village in the district. A large number of devotees had gathered at the temple for darshan, as Saturdays usually witness higher footfall at Hanuman temples.

Five Dead In Roof Collapse

At least five people lost their lives in the collapse, while several others sustained injuries. Around 30 to 40 people were reportedly trapped under the rubble. Rescue teams, local authorities and emergency responders rushed to the site and launched efforts to clear the debris and rescue those trapped.

The assembly hall had reportedly been under construction for the past several days. The exact cause of the collapse remains unknown, but the incident has raised serious concerns over construction quality and adherence to safety norms.

CM Condoles Deaths Of Devotees

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief over the tragedy and said relief and rescue operations were being carried out swiftly, while the injured were receiving medical treatment. Authorities are continuing rescue efforts as further details are awaited.
