The Governor of Tamil Nadu, Ravindra Narayana Ravi, left thousands in awe during International Yoga Day celebrations held on Saturday morning at the Velammal Educational Institution in Madurai.

Participating alongside over 10,000 students, the Governor not only led by example during the yoga session but also delivered a jaw-dropping performance that blurred the lines between age and youth.

Clad in a tracksuit and vest, eschewing the traditional formal attire, the Governor embraced the spirit of the day with energy that belied his age. Drawing on his Indian Police Service (IPS) training background, he executed each yoga asana with precision and poise.

The high point of the session came when he effortlessly completed 51 consecutive push-ups after the yoga session prompting the audience to cheer wildly.

Many spectators were left in disbelief, with murmurs across the crowd wondering if the man in front of them was really over 70 or a 30-year-old in disguise. R N Ravi’s performance stands as a testament to the timeless benefits of regular yoga practice and serves as a living example to the phrase "age is just a number."
