Manpreet Singh invites Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a joint training and Yo Yo test, highlighting mutual respect for each sport's fitness demands.

Star Indian hockey player Manpreet Singh has said that his team would love to invite ace Indian and Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli and his teammates to a practice session, where the two teams would compete against each other.

Manpreet spoke about the fitness comparisons between Indian hockey players and cricketers and also expressed his wish to invite Kohli and the entire RCB team to a joint Yo-Yo test competition.

Speaking to Revsportz, Manpreet was asked about competing against Kohli in a fitness or Yo-Yo test, a topic that often sparks debate among fans because of Kohli’s reputation for elite fitness and discipline.

Manpreet revealed that he hopes to organise a joint session featuring Kohli, the entire RCB team and members of the Indian hockey team.

“Obviously. We want to invite Virat and the entire RCB team to come and do a training session with us. We will compete against each other," Manpreet said.

During the interaction, the interviewer suggested that the hockey players might have an advantage over the cricketers when it comes to fitness levels.

“If you look, their game is also difficult. The ball comes so fast. If you ask us to bat, that will be difficult too. The ball comes in at 150 kph speed and that is also difficult," Manpreet said.

“His game’s requirement is different and ours is too. His is about eye contact, batting, position and other things, Manpreet added.

The star Indian hockey player’s reaction came after Kohli stated in a recent interview that cricketers don’t have even 15% of the fitness that hockey players behold.

Over the years, Kohli has emerged as one of the biggest fitness icons in Indian sport. His brilliant transformation and strong emphasis on conditioning helped reshape cricket’s fitness culture and inspired an entire generation of young athletes.
