 Parents seek Sainik Welfare director’s intervention

Visakhapatnam: The parents ( ex-army veteran P Sudhakar and his wife Satyavathi) of Parupudi Radha Gayatri, who died under suspicious circumstances in a homestay on the Mussoorie-Dhanaulti Road on June 15 while on vacation with her husband, Sricharan Somayajula, met the director of Sainik Welfare, Lt Col Virender Prasad Bhatt, in Dehradun of Uttarakhand, seeking his intervention in connection with the suspected murder of their daughter.During the meeting, the couple urged the director to take up the matter with the senior superintendent of police (SSP), Dehradun, Parmendra Singh Dobal, and the deputy superintendent of police (DSP), JC Pant, to ensure a fair, impartial, and comprehensive investigation into the case.They also appealed to the Director to approach the district magistrate, Dehradun, Asish Chauhan, with a request to order a magisterial inquiry into the post-mortem report. The parents expressed serious concerns regarding the circumstances surrounding their daughter’s death and conveyed their suspicion about the involvement of Sricharan. They emphasised the need for an independent, transparent, and thorough inquiry to examine all aspects of the case.Lt Col Virender Prasad Bhatt assured the bereaved family of his full support and stated that he would extend all possible assistance to ensure that the matter receives due attention from the concerned authorities.
