Watch: Carlos Alcaraz's New Hairdo Branded 'Horrible', Rory McIlroy Asks 'Why This?'

Carlos Alcaraz shaved his head surprising golf superstar Rory McIlroy and fellow tennis player Frances Tiafoe ahead of US Open 2025.

Before he could dazzle the fans at the US Open 2025, Carlos Alcaraz has managed to leave quite an impression. The Spanish tennis superstar had debuted a new stunning hairdo which has shocked fellow athletes and fans alike.

Alcaraz, vying for his sixth Grand Slam title, has shaved his head and American tennis star Frances Tiafoe immediately branded it as terrible.

“It’s horrible. It’s terrible. It’s definitely terrible. That’s my guy, though," Tiafoe reacted after seeing Alcaraz’s new haircut. “Funny, I looked and him, and I was like, ‘I guess you’re aerodynamic.'"

“I don’t know who told him to do that, but it’s terrible. From a guy who gets haircuts week in, week out, who prides himself on good haircuts, it’s horrendous. But at the end of the day, it’s Carlos, and that’s my guy," he added.

In another video, golf superstar Rory McIlroy was curious as he touched Alcaraz’s shaved head before enquiring, ‘Why this?’

Alcaraz laughed and explained, “Just got a haircut that I struggled with. I mean I had to start fresh."

“Yeah, good. I like it. It’s good. I like it," replied McIlroy.
