Virat Kohli remains the most followed personality in India, with 273 million followers on Instagram. Since his first post in 2015, the former India captain has made over 1,000 posts (1037 to be exact), ranging from family moments to team celebrations, training sessions and even lighthearted dance reels. Fans, in particular, cherished his spontaneous uploads, be it selfies with teammates, group photos from team buses, snapshots while travelling, and glimpses from post-match victories.

For years, Kohli’s feed was a mix of humour, intensity and friendship with his teammates, giving his followers a cloer look into his life beyond the cricket pitch. In recent times, however, his activity on the platform has slowed. Kohli has openly addressed the change, citing the toll of constant online engagement.

“The kind of attention you get and the kind of traction you receive when you put something out there on a platform is quite unbelievable to be honest. It's quite intense,” he explained earlier this year. For Kohli, the reasoning was simple: “I just physically felt like it was taking a lot of my energy away from me which I would absolutely apply to my game, to my life, people around me. And I didn't want to waste any of that.”While in all probability fans won't get that same Kohli, who was active on social media back, here's a look at some of the most interesting, hilarious and forgotten posts that the icon made over the years:
