Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan recently spoke openly about his separation from former actress Lissy, shedding light on the emotional complexities of their relationship. Reflecting on their long marriage, he admitted that over time, a sense of monotony and ego issues created distance between them, ultimately leading to their decision to part ways.As stated by Mathrubhumi.com, in an interview, Priyadarshan shared, “During our 32 years of marriage, a kind of boredom and ego developed between us. It was a bit difficult. So we felt it was better to separate.” He further revealed how time apart brought clarity, adding, “After a few years, we realised that we missed each other. So we came back together, that’s all. Having a companion is always essential.”The couple, who separated nearly a decade ago, have now chosen to live together again.
While they have rekindled their bond, Priyadarshan clarified that they are not considering remarriage at this stage. Their recent public appearances, including attending a family wedding together, had already sparked speculation, which the filmmaker has now addressed with honesty.

On the professional front, Priyadarshan is gearing up for the release of 'Bhooth Bangla', starring Akshay Kumar in the lead. The film marks their reunion after 14 years and also features Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.
