When Akshay Kumar teamed up with Disha Patani for a special promotional video of 'Welcome To The Jungle' earlier this year, fans were instantly reminded of the madness and humour associated with the iconic Welcome franchise.

The actors recreated the nostalgia surrounding the popular track “Uncha Lamba Kad,” which originally featured Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the 2007 blockbuster 'Welcome'.

In the video shared last year, Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani were seen dancing to the recreated version of the popular track while teasing the chaos and comedy expected in 'Welcome To The Jungle'. Sharing the promotional clip on social media, Akshay Kumar wrote, “From our hearts to yours!! What a throwback; 18 years and still an all-time favourite.

With so much nostalgia, beautiful Disha and I bring you 'Welcome to the Jungle'.

Never forgetting our Queen Katrina (sic)."

‘Welcome’ franchise continues its legacy

The 'Welcome' franchise first began in 2007 with director Anees Bazmee’s comedy entertainer 'Welcome'. The film later received a sequel titled 'Welcome Back' in 2015. Over the years, the franchise has achieved cult popularity among Bollywood comedy lovers because of its memorable characters, hilarious dialogues, and chaotic storytelling style.

'Welcome To The Jungle' is expected to continue the same madness while introducing fresh characters, large-scale comedy sequences, and action-packed entertainment.

‘Ghis Ghis Ghis’ adds Bhojpuri flavor

Meanwhile, the makers recently increased promotions for the film by releasing another song titled Ghis Ghis Ghis. The track surprised fans because it featured Akshay Kumar experimenting with Bhojpuri-style music and dance. The song also stars Bhojpuri actress and singer Akshara Singh alongside Akshay Kumar.

Composed by Vikram Montrose, the energetic number has been sung by Montrose and Supriyaa Paathak. The colourful music video showcases vibrant visuals, festive choreography, and quirky lyrics inspired by traditional Bhojpuri musical style.Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, the song features Akshay Kumar and Akshara Singh performing energetic dance moves that matched the fun and playful tone of the track.
