The device was developed as part of his research into the so-called Gravity Ageing Hypothesis, a concept suggesting that gravity may directly influence human ageing.

Following earlier hints about his newest venture, Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal has offered an update on ‘Temple’, a device designed to monitor brain blood flow. On Sunday, he shared a “Coming Soon" post across social media, featuring an image of the device, though no details about its appearance or technical specifications were revealed.

Goyal has previously described Temple as an “experimental device to calculate Brain Flow accurately, in real-time, and continuously." The device is part of his ongoing research into the Gravity Ageing Hypothesis, a theory proposing that gravity may play a direct role in the human ageing process.

Temple’s official website states, “The future of health starts where no one’s looking. Inside your brain."

In posts on November 15, Goyal explained that his hypothesis is “scientific yet unconventional" and suggested that gravity could influence lifespan.

I’m not sharing this as the CEO of Eternal, but as a fellow human, curious enough to follow a strange thread. A thread I can’t keep with myself any longer. It’s open-source, backed by science, and shared with you as part of our common quest for scientific progress on human… pic.twitter.com/q2q3tRj3Jd

He revealed that the idea emerged after years of personal health optimisation, including blood tracking, fasting, meditation, hyperbaric chamber sessions, and numerous supplements. “Staying healthy is hard. It takes too much time," he noted.

Goyal added that his search for an overlooked, constant factor across all living organisms eventually led him to this hypothesis. Temple is intended as a tool to test these ideas, allowing continuous and precise monitoring of brain blood flow—essential for studying neurological health and ageing.

Although Zomato is known primarily as a food delivery and restaurant discovery platform, Temple reflects a broader strategic push under Goyal’s tech venture, Eternal.

While the device’s launch timeline, commercialisation plans, and regulatory approvals have not yet been disclosed, the social media teaser indicates that Temple’s development is moving forward. If successful, the device could introduce a new category of consumer health technology, combining advanced biological research with practical, real-time monitoring.
