Vijaya Ekadashi 2026: Significance
Ekadashi has its own great religious significance among Hindus. This day is dedicated to worship Lord Vishnu.
On this auspicious day, devotees observe rigorous fast and offer prayers to Lord Vishnu. There are 24 Ekadashis in a year, twice a month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. This month, Vijaya Ekadashi is going to be observed on 11th day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Phalguna. This fast is considered a strict one as it is broken on the next day - dwadashi tithi.
The day brings luck, triumph, wealth, and happiness. Devotees who observe fast on this day and offer prayers to Lord Vishnu on Vijaya Ekadashi, they are blessed with triumphs over their enemies.
Vijaya Ekadashi 2026: Puja Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.2. Clean the house and puja room where you want to keep the altar.3. Place an idol of Lord Vishnu and Shri Yantra.4. Light a diya with desi cow ghee, put tilak, offer tulsi Patra and adorn the idols with a garland.5. Recite Vijaya Ekadashi Vrat Katha.6. Spend your day chanting Krishna maha mantra.7. In the evening also, one must offer prayers and perform aarti.8. Those who are unable to bear hunger, they can have fruits and milk products.
