The Iranian consulate in Hyderabad on Wednesday shared an AI-generated video mocking US President Donald Trump and his recent decision to extend a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

Trump had announced that he would “extend the ceasefire" to allow more time for negotiations, even as he directed the US military to continue a naval blockade of Iranian ports. The move came amid uncertainty over talks, with Iran yet to confirm participation and US Vice President JD Vance’s expected visit also seeing last-minute changes.

The 45-second video, posted on the consulate’s official X handle, takes a satirical swipe at the announcement through a staged negotiation scene.

The clip opens with a depiction of Trump seated in a conference-style meeting room, facing a row of empty chairs meant to represent the Iranian delegation.

“We are having very great negotiations with Iran," the AI-generated Trump says, addressing the empty room.

He then escalates the tone: “If Iran doesn’t come to negotiate, we’re gonna bomb them," still speaking to the vacant seats.

Moments later, he asks, “So where are the Iranians?" — following which an aide hands him a note. The message reads: “Shut up."

The video ends with the AI version of Trump saying, “Alright, then I will extend the ceasefire at Pakistan’s request," before abruptly walking out of the room.

“How was the ceasefire extended? The video is getting viral in Iran," the consulate captioned the post.

The clip is part of a wider trend where the conflict has increasingly spilled into the digital space, with AI-generated videos, memes and satirical content becoming a parallel channel of messaging.

From stylised animations to sharp political spoofs targeting leaders like Trump and Israel’s leadership, Iranian-linked accounts have been pushing content aimed at shaping global narratives around the conflict, while also appealing to younger, social media-driven audiences.
