White Tiger Division of Indian Army marks Yoga Day

Jhansi: The White Tiger Division of the Indian Army celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga at military stations in Jhansi and Babina Cantonment on Sunday, bringing together soldiers and their families in a collective effort to promote health, fitness and mental well-being.Held under the theme ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’, the event highlighted the importance of yoga as a holistic practice for maintaining physical fitness, emotional balance and mental resilience.According to officials, trained instructors conducted yoga sessions across the formation, guiding participants through a series of exercises and meditation practices.The event included the ‘Namaskar’ posture for spinal strength and ‘Nadi Shuddhi’ for cleansing energy pathways, followed by a seven-minute ‘Miracle of Mind’ meditation session.Various yoga postures, pranayama techniques and meditation exercises were also performed. “The celebrations at Jhansi and Babina reflected the Indian Army’s commitment to holistic wellness and operational readiness, while reinforcing the values of fitness, discipline and healthy living among soldiers and their families,” an officer at the event said.
