Ryan Garcia is no longer getting ready for the big moment, but he made it count. On February 21, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Garcia beat Mario Barrios to win the WBC welterweight world title, one of the biggest wins of his career.
The fight came after a tense build-up. The WBC fined him USD 5,000 for missing the mandatory 14-day weight-check submission deadline set for February 7, 2026 (ET). Now that he has secured the belt, attention has shifted beyond the ring. Garcia’s professional comeback story is complete for now, but fans are equally curious about the man outside the spotlight. In the aftermath of his title win, interest in his personal life, especially his relationship with Andrea Celina, has grown alongside celebration of his achievement.
A marriage that played out in public
Away from the ring, Garcia’s relationship with Andrea Celina has often made headlines. The couple began dating in 2019 and later married on January 14, 2021, according to legal documents cited by TMZ Sports. Andrea, who shares Mexican roots with Garcia, often posts about her heritage, cooking Mexican recipes and improving her Spanish. In 2023, she also revealed Italian heritage through a TikTok video featuring her grandfather, whom she calls “Nonno,” as they made pizza together.
The couple share two children. Their daughter, Bela, was born in December 2020, and their son, Henry, arrived in December 2023. When Henry was born, Garcia posted a heartfelt message on social media, writing, "This is what matters in life. This is a huge reason why I fight and support protecting the kids. This is My son KING HENRY.”Only weeks later, Garcia announced their divorce in January 2024. In an emotional Instagram Stories post, he wrote, "As I step into a new chapter in my life, it's with a heavy heart to share that Drea and I have decided to divorce.
As we move forward, my focus remains on the health and well-being of our two beautiful kids...I believe our devotion to our children is rock solid, and I trust that together, we will continue to provide them with the love, support, and stability they deserve.
"By July 31, 2024, however, Garcia requested that the Los Angeles court halt the divorce proceedings, and the case was dismissed. Neither he nor Andrea publicly detailed their reconciliation.Andrea has built an online presence of her own, with over 250,000 followers on Instagram and more than 45,000 on TikTok, where she shares travel, fashion and family moments.
