Bilal Arif Sarafi, a commander of the terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba, was stabbed and shot dead by his family members after the Eid prayers outside Lahore in Pakistan on Saturday, NDTV reported, citing sources.

The incident reportedly occurred near the destroyed Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters in Muridke — struck by the Indian army during Operation Sindoor.

While the exact reason behind the killing remains unknown, intelligence sources suspect a family dispute. Those involved in the murder have been held, sources said.

Who Was Bilal Arif Sarafi?

Bilal Arif Sarafi had been associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba — a UN-designated terrorist organisation — since 2005. He is believed to have played a key role in fundraising for the group, facilitating the procurement of weapons and supporting its terror operations.

A key figure in LeT, Sarafi lived in Taiba Colony with other senior commanders. According to reports, his job was reportedly to brainwash the people by providing them with ideological training.

Sarafi was not wanted in India.

Several videos on social media have surfaced, claiming to have captured the aftermath of the killing. However, the authenticity of the clips couldn’t be verified.

The video purportedly displays the panic after the killing of Sarafi, with people trying to assist him as he was seen lying lifeless on the ground.
