IRGC intelligence chief Majid Khademi was killed in a US airstrike amid the Iran war, after years in senior security roles, following earlier killings of top Iranian commanders.

Senior Intelligence official of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Majid Khademi, was assassinated in an airstrike by the US.

Who Was Majid Khademi?
Khademi was the chief of IRGC’s Intelligence Protection Organization in 2025 after Israeli air strikes killed his predecessor, Hossein Taeb. Before this, he served within its Intelligence Organisation since 2022 during which he was charged with internal surveillance and counter-intelligence, and held senior roles in Iran’s defence ministry.
In May 2018, he was appointed head of the Information Protection Organisation of Iran’s Ministry of Defence.
He held doctorates in national security and strategic defence sciences.
